first, there's a compilation errror in db.cpp:

So we need a couple of replacements for these then. I noticed there are a couple of Mac OS X bugs that were put in the repository - has anyone had a chance to look at those?

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=915445&gro... Not reproducible, the original report used a broken font. Works for me.

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=922904&gro... Works with the latest build on my Windows 98.

If anyonce could test some of these bugs to resolve them one way or the other that would be helpful.
