I am extremely interested in gaining a position with the Summer of Code with Inkscape, and I am doing everything in my power to be successful in doing so. With this in mind, I hope you will take a look at my proposal for improving the Python effects libraries and give me some feedback before I submit the link to it to Google on May 8th. My proposal resides here on the wiki: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ImprovingPythonEffectsAPI. If you like what you see, I'd appreciate help in convincing Google that this is a worthwhile endeavor.

I like it. I would encourage you to submit it to Google sooner rather than later. If any mentor's provide comments they can make the proposal editable again, so you can make those changes.
