Hello,
I'm trying to compile Inkscape on Cygwin. I keep getting this during configure:
checking for INKSCAPE_CFLAGS... checking for INKSCAPE_LIBS... /cygdrive/c/gtk/lib/ Package gdkmm-2.4 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gdkmm-2.4.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'gdkmm-2.4' found configure: error: Package requirements (gdkmm-2.4 glibmm-2.4 gtkmm-2.4 gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4.0 libxml-2.0 >= 2.6.11 libxs lt >= 1.0.15 sigc++-2.0 >= 2.0.3 gthread-2.0 >= 2.0) were not met. Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively you may set the INKSCAPE_CFLAGS and INKSCAPE_LIBS environment variables to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details.
The odd thing is that I have downloaded gtkmm devel from here:
http://www.pcpm.ucl.ac.be/~gustin/win32_ports/binaries/gtkmm-devel-2.8.3-1.e...
Thoughts?

Sorry, I can't help with your problem. But I was just wondering why you wouldn't compile a native binary using mingw?
Hmm, probably because I just found the new location in the wiki. The email thread I turned up in the mail archive about Cygwin referenced a Wiki page, but the link failed. Turns out it moved, or the Wiki engine changed or something.
So, nevermind, let me take a stab with these directions here: http://inkscape.org/win32/win32buildnotes.html
