Fwd: You have a new Clipart Comment
I made a small tribute to inkscape. But I used the logo.
Do I need to delete it?
Logo is ttademark right? And not public domain right? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: "Openclipart" <love@...3456...> Date: Dec 12, 2016 7:59 AM Subject: You have a new Clipart Comment To: <victor.westmann@...400...> Cc:

I don't see the Inkscape logo in that image, but yes it is trademarked. For the most part you can use the Inkscape logo in anything you want as long as you aren't trying to use it to confuse another product with Inkscape. So don't make your own vector editor and call it lnkscape and use the logo :-) When we trademarked the logo we were really careful with the terms of use, we realize that Inkscape community is made up of a ton of artists. We really wanted them to be able to use the logo in their art if they wish. Ted On Mon, 2016-12-12 at 08:50 -0800, Victor Westmann wrote:

Victor seems to be referring to this one: https://openclipart.org/detail/263647/inkscape-webstore Open Clipart is purely public domain, so if the Inkscape Logo is there, people may think it's PD, too. The logo is CC-By-SA, and trademarked.
