There are two issues that must be addressed in the next prerelease.
1. We need GTK at least version 2.10.7. Reason: in that version they fixed bug which causes a pretty bad crash in Inkscape:
374378 Crash as GTK tries to blink cursor in defocused spinbutto...
Take the latest from http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gtk+/2.10/.
2. We really need to package numpy (numeric python) with python on windows, otherwise the perspective extension does not work.

I'd say it's a pretty important extension to justify the addition.

Exactly 2.10.7? Can you please doublecheck? Today on jabber a person reported the crash with pre1 windows package which should be fixed with 2.10.7.

Yes, I just checked. Just mouse-over or get Properties on libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll in the install directory, and it should report "File version: 2.10.7"

I just downloaded pre1 exe installer from SF and it uses 2.10.6. So that explains the crash.
Adib, did you build that package? Can you please update your libs bundle to Bob's latest version?

Also Bob, could you check to see if there are any win32 packaging things that should be committed to the release branch? We're nearly ready to kick out pre2.

Ok, I made another lib bundle, with gtk2.10.9 and glib2.12.9, and also "numpy". It is here:
