Hidden layers not hidden in preview and print

for me Inkscape 0.45+0.46pre0 built on Debian etch++ prints layers that have been marked as hidden in the layer menu. The same happens with previews.
My installed cairo libaries are just in case this is relevant: ii libcairo2 1.4.10-1 ii libcairo2-dev 1.4.10-1 ii libcairomm-1.0 1.4.6-1 ii libcairomm-1.0 1.4.6-1

I'd say Inkscape needs "printable" option for layers. But right - for now hidden layers probably shouldn't be printed :-)
