Hrm, we're a bit short on space on the web server, so if there is another place this could be kept, that'd be preferable.
On the subject of server space.....we might be able to gzip all the html documents...since I believe its prety standard fora browser to be able to gunzip things on the fly...
Or am I off?

I've never heard of this before.
I think if we need space, we should just get some more space and not mess around with finagling.
What is the best way to get more space?
If I was in San Diego, I'd get us hooked up, but I'm not...so alternatives?

We're going to be okay. There was an extra copy of the doxygen files that Ted found and removed, so that saved 40mb. He also capped the cvs snapshots to keep only a week's worth instead of a month's worth (each snapshot is roughly 1.1mb).
Thanks Ted!

Looking into it a scratch deeper with Ted, it looks like while the SF motd says there are soft limits in place (100mb per project), it does not appear they're being enforced.
But yeah, gzip may be worth looking into for the doxygen stuff, if it could help.

Once again, I would like to offer the use of server space for the web site and wiki on my own server. It is a dedicated box and there's only a few sites there now.
In addition, I've been keeping the inkscape chatroom open at irc.freenode.net for anyone that doesn't care for gaim. ( or in this case can't run it )
