Hello from Windows land.
Hi, When I was browsing the Project Status page on inkscape.org, I noticed the call for Windows developers. I don't have much free time, but I'm willing to contribute a bugfix here and there to my favorite piece of software. I've checked out the CVS, but am still setting things up to compile. Once I get things running, where is a good place to start hacking?
Also, assuming I create a patch for some problem, where do I send it?

Very nice, thanks! We're actually in dire need for more Windows contributors.
The question of where to start depends on what interests you most and what you're good at. UI? Math? Architecture? All these areas need attention. Myself, I just tried to use the program and went on to fix the problems that were the most annoying, and so it all began.
If you ask me which is the most annoying Windows-specific problem currently, it's probably this:

The comments there give some idea on where to start. It may actually be easy to fix, or it may turn out to be unfixable with the current Windows GTK port. More research is needed.

Use our patch tracker at Sourceforge.
