I use Fedora Core 1 with russian locale ru_RU.koi8r. When I saved file (SaveAs) with russian letters in filename I have some problems.
- I don't see filename in header of program.
- When I closed inkscape and start it again I have message
That's a known bug, id #866197
I happen to be working on that litterally as we speak. (Well, tonight while I'm reading and responding to your mail).
I'll probably have a fix checked into CVS soon.

Thank you. Sorry, I have no time to working with CVS version. I will wait 0.38. Workaround - use latin transcription in filenames. ;)
Inkscape is great program. After 0.37 I erased Xara. :)
