Uhm, yes, but not the way that you're thinking. There are print extensions, but they don't really match the architecture of the rest of the extensions systems -- they were added separately.

They're really more like pluggable renderers. So Postscript is done this way, where certain functions can be implemented, and used to render the document a different way. This means that there isn't a scripting interface implemented for this (I have no clue to how you would).

Anyway, no, there isn't currently a way to put that into the pipeline as a "print extension". But, you could have a "Save as multipage" extension with an autogui for all the settings you want...
