which ones? Those that are on the same key as the Latin ones?

But how other apps manage this? Someone says that the X is responsible for this actually. So maybe some connection with X is currently broken in Inkscape.

Indeed shortcuts work in Gimp regardless of my keyboard mode (never tried that before). Anyone got an idea of what;s the trick? Artemio, please submit this as a bug so we don't forget about it.
