Cleaned-up inkscape windows icon

Hi, all.
I got weary of looking at that amateurish 32x32, 16 color icon that I made last year, which overlaps the boundaries and has a white (not transparent) background.
I tried several times, and got a better-looking icon, inkscape32-16.ico. Here is a comparison of the new and old icons:

I made a build with it:

Not being an artist, I just fixed the size, background, and contrast. If someone has an icon editor (I used Borland's) and would like to work on it, please give it a try. Using an icon editor, and not a regular image editor, is important, since it will impose the restrictions that a .ico file should have.
Bob

Ok I fixed it up for you. Also got rid of the gray fringe (fully transparent).

Thanks. I committed the icon.

I think I can give it a shot. I would like to give the icon an xp-look, letting it fit in better on new windows desktops. - Andreas

Excellent. Please remember, though, to stay with 32x32, 16 colors, so that it will work on all versions of Windows (like Win9x).

Or...
Just follow the .ico guides and have a few versions
I found this handy article the last time I was looking up palette info
Creating Windows XP Icons (Windows XP Technical Articles) http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnwxp/html/winxpicons.asp
If you're not sure about combining different versions into one .ico file, let me know and I can lend a hand.

No, worry, I will use Microangelo and it has excellent support for different color modes and sizes, but thanks anyway! - Andreas
