I can remember what they are and perhaps we can finish my tutoring. That "ABI" message comes to mind, as well as static linking.

Yeah, for now don't worry about that, I'm making sure Inkscape isn't affected by the ABI problems for now. The good news is that real C++ support (based on binary deltas and double compiling) is in CVS, and 1.2 is shaping up nicely for a release in the next few months.

Basically, as long as you can build the current packages nightly builds aren't too difficult, it just requires a build server.
