I just update the trunk branding folder.
I try to reopen de discussion for a open font for "Inkscape" text like for "Draw Freely" to include in branding folder and in the website instead the current Calluna Regular, not free.
I just remember Gez put one on the list he like.
Any thoughts?

Hi Jabier. We replaced it already with Linux Libertine. http://www.linuxlibertine.org/
Also, I've been editing Euphoria Script (Draw freely font) to include a lot of missing characters (I added over 150 missing ones). I have a full set of Russian characters too waiting for someone to pat me on the head, and tell me they are correct before I take more time to include them. ;)

Thanks C. I think we need to update the website because is still using Calluna. I just fill a bug in inkscape-web.
Ping me when your work with Tweenk with the Russian chars end, to commit the changes -I put the sources of the fonts here. Could you send me in OFT instead TTF, seems to me better to include in the source code .

I think the most suitable for Inkscape logo is: LinLibertine_DR.otf. Is what I try to include.

Although I want to note here that it was WAY way more work than it needed to be. Everything from the stupid number of variants, the lack of downloadable font css ready to use to the stupid nginx server throwing oft fonts out as security problems.
LinuxLibertine probably can't change nginx/http but it should really do something about the lack of usable download. I don't want hundreds of ttf files and then a DIY job of writing a css for them all, and I don't even want all the different variants. The process needs to be made easier for web developers. The existing zip files were a waste of my time.

We could offer to take over the Linux Libertine project. However at the moment I am truly swamped with LGM stuff. I visited University of Westminster campus yesterday after work to see what the facilities and equipment are like, so I can work the AV controls, record, and provide a nice documentation and easy environment for people to give their permutations this year. It's an ocean of buttons. Lol. Really awesome facilities and professional exponent though. It's going to be a blast!
After the event, I could have a look like, and we could provide better and easier download experience. This may be why it's not in google fonts. Maybe they considered it a waste of their time too. ;(
