Problems running current cvs

Hi, I updated my local cvs and compiled today's inkscape version. I had to update my gc version to 6.5 (was that a correct move?) Did the regular autogen.sh -> configure -> make -> make install (configure went with the "--prefix=/opt" option in order not to screw up my working inkscape). No errors, all went fine. Now if I run "/opt/bin/inkscape" it does nothing, "/opt/bin/inkview" works as expected though.
Any ideas??
Thanks

Hmm... you could try running it through gdb and stepping, to see where it's getting stuck.
If you compile it but don't do make install, can you execute inkscape from within the build tree?
