does "remove kerning" works ?
Hi,
testing the translation I found this nice feature for myself. But it does not work with my family name "Taraben" and the default font"Bitstream Vera Sans". Inkscape->Text->Remove Kerns
Is this a feature or a bug?
HTH,
Adib.

Have you put there any kerns to remove? It only removes kerns you added by alt+arrows, not the internal kerning pairs from the font.

I think "Remove Manual Kerning" would be a much better name.

Manual kerning is called 'tracking', not 'kerning', isn't it?

No. Tracking is uniform chage in all intervals. The SVG term for it is letterspacing. Kerning is changing intervals between individual glyphs. Automatic kerning is taken from the font for specific pairs of glyphs; manual kerning you can add yourself at any point in your text.
