Re: [Inkscape-devel] Inkscape Website: Tutorials
I can add a list of additional tutorials to the Tutorials webpage [http://staging.inkscape.org/en/learn/tutorials/] if third-party tutorials belong there, such as these: http://www.chrishilbig.com/a-crash-course-in-inkscape/ https://inkscapetutorials.wordpress.com/ http://www.techdrivein.com/2011/08/10-good-inkscape-tutorials-for-vector.htm... http://creativenerds.co.uk/tutorials/inkscape-tutorials/
I see the Videos section many "third-party" tutorials are being gathered there. These ones above are primarily not videos.
Thanks for the feedback.

Jared,
Add them as links follow the other ones under Learn > Tutorials
Please reply with the adds after to be reviewed. Even under the http://staging.inkscape.org they should be checked.
Make sure the links are valid please.
Regards, Leo Jackson

Thanks, I like that direction a lot! The ability to filter/order tutorials, and displaying a gallery of video tutorials is a great layout method.
I think tutorials of many small actions or tool-focused activities could be very useful to publish what Inkscape's feature-set really is.
The larger/project oriented videos may be something "third-party" sources supply much better, for now.

Sounds like you need to write a:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/inkscape-web
:-) Looks pretty cool though, it'll probably need the html/css guru to come back and do the styling and a custom cms app-hook etc.
Apropos Ian, I've got the staging branch syncing to the staging.inkscape.org website (cron-job) and now not from trunk, so please add ~tweenk and ~jabiertxof to the project group so they can commit/merge to trunk. I'll still be reviewing before delivery to the server.
If it makes it easier, set me as an administrator for the project+group.
Not completely happy with the deployed gallery plugin, any suggestions for django or django-cms apps that would do it better.
Best Regards, Martin Owens
Ian,
I agree the tutorials should be hosted on the site. The original layout for that page was great we need the links for now as place holders and decide what ones we will keep; the layout is doable.

Ian,
If in the website development you still want OSQA add for the questions and answers. It is a Django App and with either hooks or use as a plugin it should also be doable.
