Hello
If there's an admin in the room (as in, a member of the Inkscape Administrators team on Launchpad), please do the following:
1. Give commit access to Markus Engel so he can fix further issues with the C++ification himself. 2. Approve me as administrator.
Regards, Krzysztof

You can just email me directly on admin matters going forward if you'd like, I should be more responsive now for this with the new job.

Has he had the required two patches accepted into the codebase so far? If so, just give me his launchpad ID and I'll set him up.

I'd like to keep the total number of admins limited to half a dozen, for various good reasons. After all, six people should be *more* than sufficient for maintaining the launchpad account; if it isn't then something needs fixed.
Possibly one of the existing launchpad account admins would like to turn the role over to someone else. I will handle contacting them and see if an opening can be made for some fresh blood on the team.

He met it and I already added him a little bit ago.
Cheers, Josh

Very quick python trawl for stats, if we want someone to ask, I'd ask bbyak and Jon. And maybe pro-actively ask one of the current top 6 to take a spot.
But that's just based on activity which might be faulty.

Right, really I don't want to go bumping anyone out for inactivity; I'm hardly one to point fingers myself on that front! :-) But do I think the most important measure is level of interest in the role going forward, and only way to check for that is to check in with each admin, which I'm doing presently off list. All the admins have done great work for Inkscape so far and most probably still want to help, but we all have busy lives and different family / career demands to balance with freetime pursuits so as much as possible I'd prefer to let them decide their time commitments themselves.
I'm hoping we can swap in Krzysztof and maybe one or two others to get some new blood into the team. This will hopefully help offload Josh a bit, and make it swifter and simpler to get admin action on stuff like commit rights and so on.

Fine with me. I've been so unhappy with Bzr that I stopped committing changes directly anyway.
Actually, I think that number means your activity rating is high, however it is calculated.

I agree, bzr is no longer relevant IMHO. Git is where it's at and by not using git we're probably turning off potential developers. I actually have been using git to watch and manage changes to libdepixelize and send the high level diffs to Vinicius as email.
I support switching 2geom and inkscape to git.

Please please can we use git? :)
Thanks! Partha

OK, in that case I don't need to be made an admin.
