I like #3 the best.

definitely #3, Eisvogel. I think it shows what Inkscape is good for the best.
although i feel bad for not considering the awesome robot, but the text lines and overall composition of that picture is simply bad imho. and on the motel sign i cannot identify the inkscape logo, it is just a big blob.

When I first looked through all contestent during the community voting #2 felt like the best one with the animation but now it's #3 for sure. For me it's the only one that feels like an about screen (and loading screen I assume).
No. 3
Surprised the blue dawn one didn't make the cut, it was winning votes last week by 20%.

I vote for 1.
What I would really like to see added back in is the "blueprint" drawing of the bot.

I'll vote for 1 too, although I like all three. (I also thought #7 and #8 were pretty good.)

That would make this entry really awesome.

#3 Clean, bright colors, interesting subject, good composition.
I would vote for #1 if it was composed a little better. The robot is impressive, but the other elements in the image are strangely placed, and there is a big unbalanced empty space on the left.

BTW, has a decision been made on the units-related issues?

Thanks for the vote. The question should go in the most recent "frost" thread that was started by Bryce. It's very relevant there.
