Hello,
Recently I have done simple hack and I used epstopdf [1] command instead of ps2pdf. This way we can export pdf files with full respect to bounding box. Hope It will be useful for someone too :)
greets, Tomek
[1] $ rpm -qf /usr/bin/epstopdf tetex-3.0-6.FC4

You might wish to look into a scan for ghostscript 8.x. I'm not sure what version it came with, but theres a pdfwrite and a pswrite device. People will need the latest GS I think, however its a worthy test to make.

Thanks, a lot of people have been very interested in better postscript support.
Can you post this to the patch tracker on the website (www.sf.net/projects/inkscape/)? Someone can review and integrate it from there.
Thanks, Bryce
