Is there somewhere in Inkscape a function equivalent to:
pathv_to_linear_and_cubic_beziers()
which only outputs a polyline/polygon instead of a polybezier? The output format I am working on now has the former types, but not the latter.

New subject: pathv_to_linear_and_cubic_beziers, only to linear?
the only one I can think of at the moment is the Python extension at Extensions->Modify Path->Flatten Beziers. This is suitable if you want to produce something for a CNC machine.
