Hi,

I am contemplating a diagramming project (open source, of course) in Java
and believe Inkscape would make a great canvas.

However the degree of support for Java is unclear to me. It would need to
have dialogue boxes and be interactive, so a filter does not seem enough.

Guess there may be potential behind the curtain, or is this simply not the
best way to go ahead?
