Hi, First of all and because I am new to this list I want to thank the Inkscape Developers for their awesome work they did.
I was recently programming an extension for Inkscape and so I had different (general and specific) questions:
- Is there a group of developers, who are just or mainly doing their work on extensions ? - Is the idea of extensions still in the roadmap of Inkscape? - What criteria _do_ extensions have to fulfill to get into the next release ? - Is there a kind of an Extension-Repo ? - And is it planned to include Extensions into Inkscape like we all know it from Firefox (Online -Repo connected to the program itself or Online-Repo providing "one click" installation.
Again, thumbs up for all developers - developing an extension was very easy and understandable. cheers,

There is not formelly a group, but i'm one of this group.

Now i don't understand you... The extensions is not an idea. That works. :-)

I think that must works on any OS (using the python standards from other extensions will help) and be accepted by a developer. You may submit it as a patch on the tracker.
But not for the 0.48, because we are in the string freeze.

Why don't form a group like this ? I even know other people that want to create new extensions So maybe it is not a bad idea to help each other with those extension-issues ++

Now i don't understand you... The extensions is not an idea. That works. :-)
Of course they will be part of Inkscape in future and it is not just an idea... but are there roadmap-like plans also for extensions ?
