SF Tracker file attachments
Hi,
Something we have probably all seen a lot of times, but AFAIK never talked about. Very often (nowadays in about half of all cases) our translators (don't know about other contributors) fail to actually attach the patch file when sending a patch through the Tracker. Since so many people are making this mistake, it is probably SF's fault instead. My question is: could we do something about this, maybe make SF improve the interface or at least make them inform the contributor more aggressively about what needs to be done to actually upload the file?

I think there is a way to (from the admin interface) add instructions to the submission page of a particular tracker. Could someone have a look at this when they get a chance?
I think part of the problem too is that the tracker always kicks you out to the main list after submitting or modifying a tracker item. I almost invariably find that's not what I really want (being easily able to review your change or make an additional one you missed ... like say, adding an attachment, can be very helpful).

SourceForge has a project registered for putting bugs/rfe's about SourceForge itself - I think it's called 'Alexandria'. It's hard to find the link from the homepage but it's there. You could try that perhaps.
