Hi, when saving svg in inkscape 1.0.1, the file contains a link to openswatchbook dot org and that website appears to have been hijacked and is serving porn and possibly malware.
I'm new to inkscape so I was curious what that address is about and why it's in the generated svg file. If you could explain why a svg file needs url links in the first place I would love to know.
I don't know what relationship inkscape has with that website but you should contact whoever you think is the original owner and let them know of the situation.
Best regards
Hi Noz,
It's an xml reference, it's not supposed to be a real internet URL and many in the XML community consider formulating it as a URL was a mistake as it makes people believe that the URL is a functional aspect of the XML (but it's not)
Thanks for letting us know about the problem.
Best Regards, Martin Owens

Not sure of all the domain control stuff, but is there a way we could request the domain and just keep it safe?

There are ways to claim a domain through ICANN, but I think you have to show that you own the trademark.
Maybe something for the conservancy to advise on.

Ted
Future Inkscape versions (1.1+) don't use it anymore (23a14fc0b565e4a56a24e6115c983710b19204b7), probably backportable.
