Because I made a new grid framework to better accomodate new grid types, I had to put the definition of grids elsewhere in SVG. If I'll remove the old grid code now, the 'old' grid in Inkscape SVG's will not be read, Inkscape will think no grid will be there. Aaron thought up a nice idea: to make an extension to convert old grids to new grids; then the codebase is not cluttered with compatability code, and we can easily remove the extension when it is deemed ancient.
Ideas?
Should this be sent to the user maillist aswell?
