I tried out one of Bob Jamisons windows builds a few days ago and Inkscape 0.39 is looking really sweet, and I'm enjoying playing around with some of the new features. It is great now that the secondary toolbar/tool options palette (whatever ya call it) is now working for all the tools. The new picture in the about dialog is nice for a change.
Although I'm very pleased and Inkscape is getting so good I'm fast running out of things to complain about ;) I cannot resist making a few comments: generally an about dialog provides information such as versioning and build options so that users reporting problems can let developers know exactly what they are using. It is a very minor point but the inkscape about dialog doesn't provide a convenient way (select and or) copy the text from the dialog. although there is a permanent zoom entry box on the status bar i still kind of expected to have one in the secondary/tool options palette when I was using the Zoom tool. Until you have learnt them icons can be slow to decipher, some sort of text labels on the Zoom toolbar might be an improvement.
Thanks again for the software!
Sincerely
