Not code, just a small entry in the database.
Could there be some mechanism to automatically delete a gallery that's been empty for some amount of time? Or make it accessible to moderators to handle it? It seems to fall appropriately into a moderation issue, if you look at it from the point of view of being an empty gallery.
Well anyway, I'll be glad to write an issue, if that's what you would prefer.
An automated way would be best. If you can make an issue, then I can get to it when I have some time.
