you dont need permission but you MUST license the material under GPL. We
would appreicate also an electronic copy of the translation to put into
FLOSS Manuals

The logo, is a trademark. If you want use it you have to receive the agreement
of ted gould and other people who have put it into trademark.
The real question is : depend of the licence of your manual.
And you have to credit all of your resource on the book.
