Pipeline issue fixed; required to rebase source branch
Hi all,
I found the offending issue that caused the pipelines to fail. The version of ReStructuredText you're using doesn't recognize the :underline: tag. I only wanted to use that to emphasize a UI element with an underscore, but it's not essential. What, in fact, is the RST version being used?
I started the process of requesting a merge but in the middle of the page there is a statement: "Merge blocked: the source branch must be rebased onto the target branch." Should I do the rebasing?
Hi David,
reStructuredText doesn't have underline by default. You've probably found underlining here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9084173/how-to-underline-text-in-restruc...
However that is using a CSS class and a shorthand, which first need to be created before they can be used.
My personal thought on this is that we have enough options for markup already and do not really need underlining in addition to those.
For a list of available options, please also refer to the markup file that holds the available options and is available as the sample chapter here: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-docs/manuals/-/blob/master/Inkscape-Beg...
and https://inkscape-manuals.readthedocs.io/en/latest/sample-chapter.html
Kind Regards Maren

Great, thanks for all the info. Let me know if you have feedback on Installing Inkscape and/or when you will publish it. I have updated or added 10 PNG files but didn't delete any existing images.
As you can see I'm a Windows guy so I didn't touch the Mac or Linux pages.

Sorry, overlooked the rebase comment.
Of course, you can, if you want to (next time, for now, I just clicked the button). That would save some time and makes it easier to know whether it will actually fit in well with the current state of the repository (i.e. whether there are any merge conflicts).
Thanks for your work there! Kind Regards Maren
