If you decide to work on the staging site (and then later the live site), I'll be available to answer questions or help if you need it. The django editor is fairly easy to use. (I can use most of it, and I could not write an extension, so it really isn't hard to use :-))

Shall I try to contact the authors of the other 3 articles/guides (2 authors)?

Would dual-licencing (CC-By-SA and GPLv3+) be okay for you? That's the licence for our website contents (not yet mentioned there).

If you'd like to learn how to edit the website, make an account at staging.inkscape.org, and tell us your user name.

When you've tried it out a little, and feel certain enough to edit the 'real' webpage, get an account at inkscape.org and tell us your user name there.

Be sure to send a message to the docs list when your changes are ready to be translated to the other website languages.

I can't help much with quality review (I've only just written my first extension ever, to help me with quickly resizing floor plans).

I wrote the text in medium as a self-guide on how I learnt to make a simple extension but since I am not a developer I was not sure it was ok. If anyone with more experience thinks this guide is good enough for inkscape guide to get started in inkscape extensions Ill be more than happy to help.
