Translated both pieces of news to Portuguese. I can't currently see the translations at the moment though, English is always displayed instead. If I go and try to edit again I can see my translated text so I guess they saved properly, it is just not displayed as published.
Not sure if it is due to the issue you described earlier or because they are actually not published yet. Let me know if I screwed up somewhere or need to take any additional actions.
