I have been searching for where the 'Apply' button is translated, the one in all the Filters and Extension subdialogs (where menuitem ends with '...'). There are usually two buttons; 'Close' and 'Apply' - the former is already translated to Icelandic, but the latter is shown in English.
There's no occurrence of 'Apply' in the PO/POT files, so it must come from the desktop environment (GNOME?) - the problem is from where? I've tried grepping the source code, but without clear results so far.
Does anyone know here it stems from?

Hi,
This string is from GTK+ translation.
It is not translated into Icelandic in the GTK+ 2 branch:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gtk+/tree/po/is.po?h=gtk-2-24#n3365
However, it is translated in 3.x branch so the trunk version of Inkscape should be translated fine:
https://l10n.gnome.org/POT/gtk+.master/gtk+.master.is.po
Do not know if there will be future versions in 2.x branch for the updated translations...
Hope this helps.
Best regards, Yuri
As usually you save my day Yuri ;-) I thought I already had translated it years ago in the 2.x branch. And I thought that Inkscape 0.92+devel would use gtk+3 for it's dialogs.
Guess I'll soon have to upgrade my LinuxMint 17.3 (based on Trusty 14.04).
