OK let's coordinate. I can step on SVG tutorials and other documentation translation to start with. As me the freshman here please explain guidelines and procedures. God bless you.

Hi Juan and Ocetalo,

I would like to help with translation, too. In fact, I had already downloaded
the current interface language file (es.po) and begun with that. If you want
I can send you both what I have until now and we can coordinate the following
steps :-)

Regards.

Are you the only one translating the interface? I think that was been
doing by other.

I think now we are at least 3 people involved we have to coordinate
and make an effort before next release. Not only translating, spreading
the word too!!.

someone else over there want to collaborate?

PS:I am going to write on the spanish mailing list to know if someone
is interested.

Hi Juan, Ocetalo and Carlos,

to coordiante your efforts, you should first get in touch with Lucas,
who is the current translator, and still active, as this line from the
.po file suggests:
# Lucas Vieites Fari?a <lucas@...162...>, 2003-2007, 2008.

I cc'd him just in case.

I didn't remember his name. He was who I was talking about when I said
to Carlos:
"Are you the only one translating the interface? I think that was been
doing by other"

other=Lucas :D

It's wonderful to know there are more people who want to collaborate! ;)

  Hi,
I'm Lucas Vieites and I'm the translator of the inkscape user
interface (es.po file).
There's a lot of work to be done, especially on the tutorials, so it
would be best to coordinate in order to duplicate our effort and do
unnecessary work.

That's great! Now we're four :-)

Juan Miguel and Lucas seem to be the more experienced around here, so do you
have any starting point on this or can provide information of the current
state of the Spanish translation?

Also, how are other translation teams coordinating themselves? Is there any
kind of common infrastructure we can use for translations, revisions, task
lists and such? If not, we can easily set up a wiki (or use Inkscape's) and
begin listing people, tasks, and progress...

I can make a tutorial and upload it to the wiki about the process to
tranlaste website news.
(I think maybe there are people who doesn't know anything about svn)

Hi there!.

I have improved polish translation of Inkscape. It's still incomplete but do
not have enough free time to finish it. I have also a problem with submitting
my work using Launchpad account so I have decided to post it here.
