Hi,
I'm the translator of the GUI, feel free to ask any questions regarding terminology and consistency.
I will be updating the translation soon to be ready for the next release.

I also have a little glossary I set up at http://www.codexion.com/glosarios/ (just be sure to search in the Inkscape specific glossary)

  Cheers,

Hi everyone!

I'm new here. I'd like to join Jabiertxo and others in translating the Inkscape website to Spanish. I'm not a professional translator but I'm a native Spanish speaker and have some experience as a writer and editor for the web.

I'm still trying to figure out how you work here. This is what I did so far:

- Read this: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/WebSite#User_Account
- Register on the website. My username: eldelacajita
- Sign up on this list... obviously :)

Are there any more translation-specific guidelines?

And just one more question about the general approach: Are Spanish pages supposed to be an accurate translation from the English ones, or can they be approached as the "best possible Spanish website for Inksape"? That is, can we adapt examples, tutorials, links, etc. to be more relevant in Spanish/latin context?

Thank you!

Best,

Jorge
