I'm a fellow translator currently maintaining European Portuguese for for the Inkscape website.

I don't usually contribute to Inkscape UI translation so I can't tell you much about it, but you can probably start by reading the wiki page about translations.
If you are interested in contributing to the website, you can get more info in the corresponding wiki page.

If you have any further doubts don't hesitate to ask. In the meantime I'm sure the admins and your fellow Brazilian translators will reply so you can coordinate effors.
