Exactly, that is why I suggest you to own it and not just to join it. Because I'm not an expert in Transifex so you can manage it better than me.
By the way, I translate on Launchpad from time to time, and I believe there is kinda user levels. but I'm not sure about Transifex.

On a second thought, it would be unfair if one person blocked the whole community. So if I'm the only person who objects the move to online translation tools, I'll gladly resign from maintaining my translation.
