Thanks Maren, I'll keep an eye on the issue on gitlab
In the meantime, since I'm not sure I'll get another opportunity anytime soon, I'll probably just translate the text locally and save it offline. Once the issue has been resolved pasting it there should be trivial.
Lets hope it is nothing to severe. Thanks again, best regards

Hi Duarte,
thanks for helping, especially as you don't have a lot of time for it.
I get the same error when I try to create a new translation, not matter which language (either Server error, or 502).
Adding a new news item probably won't work, as there doesn't seem to be a way to set its language and to link it to the original article from the interface - so all you could do would be to create a new English article. So, no workarounds, currently.
I'll copy your message into a bug report for inkscape-web.
Martin has reported some (probably failed) attack on the server, but I'm not sure it's related. Maybe it's just some issue with an update having gone wrong, or it's due to the mail server inactivation (your internal message won't get through, currently, that's right).
I've made a bug report here, so it can be investigated: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-web/issues/209
If you have a gitlab account, you can subscribe to the issue, and I'll also let everyone here know when it's resolved.
Hope you have a good week ahead, Kind Regards, Maren

Sorry guys, been extra busy lately could barely spare a minute to read the news. I now finally got a little break to catch up with Inkscape and was rushing to translate 2018 Boston Inkscape Hackfest to Portuguese only to be presented with a *502 Bad Gateway* error from nginx. Only Portuguese language seems to be affected for now, others open the editing interface fine apparently.
I've used the builtin message dialog to send an error report, but I'm not even sure that went through. Does anyone know about any issues or could warn the administrators? In the meantime if you have any workarounds let me know. I was thinking of using the administration interface to add a new news page but I'm not sure if that is the correct way.
Thanks, Duarte

Translated into French. I also added a link to the article on the English and French ‘Hackfests’ pages.
Merci, Sylvain! Done also for German, pt, and pt-br.
If someone could help overhaul the Spanish and Russian versions of that page, that would be awesome.
But wait… This hackfest was three months ago?!
- Yes, that's right - there's always more work to do than there are
people to do it :)
If anyone wants to support the Vectors team in their efforts, visit their issue trackers on gitlab and pick a task: https://gitlab.com/groups/inkscape/vectors/-/issues

Hi everyone,
Ryan has published the article about our hacker's meeting in Boston!
It's available on the website from here: https://inkscape.org/en/news/2018/05/22/2018-boston-inkscape-hackfest/
Maybe this would be a great thing to start with for our most recent members?
Let me know what you think, Jiajun and Artur!
Finlay, would you have time to help with the German translation? I'm a bit busy at the moment and could use your help.
Thank you, and happy translating, Maren
