IIRC the names are a random reordering of the names contained in the TRANSLATORS file at the root of the repo. (One day I'll probably change to pick names from the po file authors to be able to sort by language)

About the translation contributors, how are the names that show up under Inkscape's Help > About > Translators menu obtained? Is it the name of the contributor that last commits a file? Are they gathered from parsing the .po files? Is it a manual process?
I ask this because my name shows up there correctly, but Ana's does not. I made sure her name was included in the po file, but I was the one making the submission, so it may have been missed. Is there any way to request her being included as well? She did most of the work after all. If only one name per language can be included then it should be hers over mine.
