Glad to hear you want to participate. I understand you want to help out with website translation, right?
You'll probably have to create an account, join the team and wait for the moderator to give you permissions.
In the meantime you can start by reading the wiki on how to use the translation tools. That should get you ready to start.

Dear Translators,

I've had a look through your website and have noticed there are several missing translations for Japanese and would love to help out. I'm half British-Japanese and in my first year of university. I also have a basic understanding of html. I've never worked on anything online though and am excited to see what it's like.
