It makes perfect sense!
And it's exactly the link "step 1" in Maren's guide will give
you. :-)
This a great resource to have bookmarked. I tend to forget the procedure in between release cycles :(.
There is one thing I would like to add, which is a link to the most up-to-date po files. This is because, unless you download the full source code and run the generate_POTFILES.sh script, the po files in the indicated branch will not be up to date.I usually go to https://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php?title=Interface_translation and use the following links:----For the main development branch: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/jobs/artifacts/master/download?job=translationsFor release branches: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/jobs/artifacts/<branch name>/download?job=translations
----
Does that make sense?

Hi everyone,
I had been planning to send something like this out with the string
freeze announcement already, but as that has become a bit blurry, I
almost forgot about the idea until Seanán (Irish translator) reminded me:
https://inkscape.org/~Moini/%E2%98%85translation-instructions-for-inkscape-11
This should help you all navigate around GitLab (if you don't know how
to find things there already)
Happy translating!
Maren
