I already had a problem of losing the translation that was doing, it happened when I clicked twice to open the link and edit. So when I see a new link, I get the English version, see the settings and delete the link and create a new translated version.
I don’t understand what settings you’re talking about but yes, links or other plugins are quite a pain to edit since they need loading. But it’s not much more painful than writing/editing <a href="url">text</a> as I often do.

Oh yeah, well I can’t deal with the Download pages currently (so I’m using the English fallbacks everywhere), I haven’t finished with the Release notes yet! When it’s done I’ll deal with everything on the website.
