Here is the snippet from ru.po:

#: ../src/extension/internal/bitmap/spread.cpp:36 #, fuzzy msgid "Dither" msgstr "Другая"

Note the ".fuzzy" bit. When a translation is updated, gettext tools try to be smart and suggest translation from the closest match by original.
