Maren was faster… Yeah, that's true, the original name is trademarked. I'm still a newbie on the legal side.
And I misunderstood the patch section — you probably already knew how to make a patch.
Anyway, good night. But as usual I'll wait the middle of the night to go to sleep.

Hi Abdelhak,

Should i write it as it is in wikipedia, or follow a phonetic transcription to make the arabic pronounciation closer ? (if it is the case, i'll also need a phonetic transcription of "inkscape", i don't know where to find it)
The other non-Latin languages we have (Russian, Japanese, Chinese) use the Latin script, which is fine, because the word 'Inkscape' is trademarked, and because it's a name, and thus not really translatable (I do see the irony that I'm writing your name as Abdelhak, and now I feel that it's a bit unfair somehow ;-)).
So this is how I would do it: Use 'Inkscape' everywhere, and later, when it comes to CMS translations, on the 'About' and on the 'FAQ' pages, add a translators' note about how to pronounce it for Arabic-speaking users.
However, if you think Arabic-speaking users would be a lot more comfortable if the word would be transliterated, then I think it would be okay to do so, using any transliteration you think is most appropriate, as long as the word 'Inkscape' also still appears somewhere on the website (although if you really want to do that, we might better check back with the Inkscape board).
I began translating an empty .po file to arabic, slowly to avoid mistakes, and hopefully it will be good (seems to take a lot of time tough).
I'm looking forward to your submission, thank you! Btw. it's totally okay to submit partial contents, you do not have to do it all at once - we can make the site look more Arabic in steps :)
For the style patch file, i think it's a little bit too early for this, i'll submit a bug report when the time will be adequate.
That's fine - then you will already have some 'real' contents to test with and do not have to edit the html, but only the CSS.
Have a good day/night everyone :D
Wishing you a good night, too! (you're just one hour behind me).
Regards, Maren
