Thanks again, Duarte
Hi everyone, you guys are great :) - Thanks! Victor, I'm afraid you translated the page on staging.inkscape.org... :( We'll have to transfer your translations to the live website. Duarte, do you think you could help with this? I couldn't find your account at inkscape.org, Victor, to give you translators' permissions - what is your username? And you're right, translating is a lot of work, that's why we are so happy to have you to support Duarte ;) - even if the languages aren't exactly the same, it's a great thing if some of the work can be shared. (Anybody here wants to translate the German developer pages, maybe? ;) ) As the web site editor isn't always intuitive in its usage, I'd like to give some hints for inserting links (I think this isn't yet very well described in the document on our Wiki - I'll update that soon with some pictures as well): For links, whereever possible, please everyone use the Link plugins. In the editor, there is a dropdown on the top left. The thing is that internal links (from one page at inkscape.org to another one) will be adapted automatically, if, for example, a page is moved or renamed. So if you link to the 'About' page, for example, and someone moves that page to another menu section, your link will not need to be updated. It's a little more work now, but it will save us work later. They also do not need to be adapted for the language, this is done automatically. So to insert an internal link, do the following: - Write the word(s) you want to use as text for the link. - Mark them. - Use the dropdown for plugins, select 'Link' - Fill in all info (use the dropdown for internal links) - Save To edit a 'plugin link', just doubleclick on it. What will not work with plugin links: - Copying a plugin link to use it more than once (it lives in the database, and only can exist once, and also only in the text block where it was created) - Editing the text of a plugin link in the editor window directly. As I said, not intuitive... To get contents from the English pages to your own language's page, use the dropdown at the top ('language') and select 'Copy all plugins from English'. This will make duplicates of all plugins (a different entry in the database), they can be edited by double-clicking on them. Long read, sorry! Thanks for all your hard work, Kind regards, Maren ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Inkscape-translator mailing list Inkscape-translator@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/inkscape-translator
