the 1.2.x branch is what Inkscape 1.2.1 will be taken from, in autumn.

I would recommend that - if your previous work has all been merged into
1.2.x - you start your next chunks of work with the up-to-date po file
from the up-to-date auto-generated translation artifacts zip (i.e.
download it again).

If you have any changes that aren't in 1.2.x yet, you should update your
po file with the pot file from the above mentioned zip file before you
continue.
