I just want to check some strings of my translation, like _Mark distance: Distance between successive ruler marks Ma_jor length: Length of major ruler marks etc.
I know these strings are from the lpe-ruler.cpp file, but I want to view them in the application.
Where is this dialog ? I don't know where to find it.

Hi,
1. Select path. 2. Choose: Path -> Path Effects... 3. Click on a green "+" on a right docker. 4. Select "Ruler". 5. Press "+ Add"
Hope this helps.

What PO editor do you use?

For normal translation, Poedit.
Once in a while, I speedy-scan visually the given file with Virtaal, in order to spot spelling mistakes, since Poedit does not have spell check (at least on Windows).
Only on occasions, I look directly at the file and into the source code (where possible). This helps me sometime to understand the context for unclear terms.

In the list upper half of the window right-click on a line that shows source text and translation. This will show you the file(s) from which the message is taken.

I know that, but in this particular case (with the ruler) it was a confusion on my part -- I thought it was about the ruler around the program's main window, so I was looking in the wrong place.
