You may share the link around. Click on photos, especially the one with all hackers which is actually an embeded svg with hover css.
There's still some issues with the CSS on these news pages and the manual process of including images wasn't great. But I wanted to get this news article out before our next hackfest ;-) If anyone would like to clean up the css, I'll be happy to take a patch.

The miniats are not compressed (and are very long to download, or don't show up on my mobile phone)… Can I provide such versions for the page?

Thanks for the hint and for your offer, Sylvain! I've added thumbnails to the ResourceFiles, and updated the article (there's also one more link for one of the images now). It should soon be using them (but as it's cached, that may take a while).
If you have problems publishing your language version, ping me when it's ready to be published. There's a bug currently making publishing difficult.

Nice. They work… but… they're blurred! Did you use a standard scaling algorithm?

Lanczos as is used by default by mogrify / imagemagick. I think that's pretty much standard.

It was published when I published the English article - I'm not sure if we maybe did it at the same time, or if the way via the admin interface was necessary (according to Martin, it is).

OK, but do you see that awful pixelating effect? The miniats resized by my browser do not have this.
