Re: Inkscape 1.4 - Dutch translation
Hi Stephan,
thanks for your work on the Dutch translations!
However, we need you to submit your work in one of the official ways:
There are three ways to submit a po file to the Inkscape project:
https://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/Translation_information#Submit_finished_work
Development in Inkscape (as well as translation) happens in the open, we do not usually send attachments by private email to just a single contributor. This is useful for a couple reasons:
1. Other people can see that you are doing stuff and thank/congratulate/motivate you ;-) 2. Others who see it may feel motivated to contribute 3. The task you are giving to other contributors is 'open for taking' by anyone, not just by the one person you addressed (they may not have time).
Please let us know in the chat when/if you encounter any obstacles.
Thanks again, Maren

Hallo Maren,
These past weeks I've been working on and off trying to fill in the blancs, checking the 'fuzzies' and adding consistency as I ran into things. But the backlog on the Dutch translation of Inkscape is just ... quite big ! And now that summer hollidays are practically over I have to admit that I bit off more than I can chew and fearing that a proper release of Inkscape 1.4 may be imminent, I think it is time to make an interim delivery.
Please find attached that status of my ongoing work on the Dutch translation for Inkscape 1.4. It's not finished yet; there are still blancs and fuzzies, which will show up in English. But A LOT has been done and verified by me within the current beta release.
I would kindly request that you upload this nl.po at the appropriate place for me. If you think I should do this myself (I do have a Github account for such purposes) then please could you point me where I should do this?
The coming weeks I will proceed with the ongoing translation work, be it at a slower pace, as the Amsterdam youth will need to get going with their maths again, and we'll see how things fit within release schedules and such.
Kind regards,
Stephan Paternotte Amsterdam Nederland

Hi Stephan,
welcome! It looks like the last time someone worked on the Dutch translation
files seemed to have been in 2021 [1], and I haven't seen any Dutch >
contributors working on translations around recently.
You could still try to email Kris, who was the last translator of
the po
file (mail address in po file).
Otherwise, you can join us in the translators' chat [2] to find

To get the most recent po file(s), please follow instructions in

Looking forward to your contributions! Maren
