Hi,
I created a new wiki page for translator comments (since not all source files can have them, and besides, they are more easily maintained and tracked in the wiki):
http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/InkscapeTranslatorComments
Please add your translation-related comments and other info on specific Inkscape strings there. And, of course, use the comments for your translations.
On a side note, there already was a similar page in the wiki, that one is for general terminology:
http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/InkscapeTerminology

I suppose it is best to put them in code and have at hand in the PO files when translating - I will take care of that.
Regards,
Hi,
I suppose it is best to put them in code and have at hand in the PO files when translating - I will take care of that.
Thanks. A few of them are already in the code, but I don't know how extension code (non-c++) can have translator comments.
Since there's always a chance that some comments get accidentally deleted from the sources (or moved to somewhere else so that they don't get into the PO file), I'll probably also copy existing comments to the wiki page.

I prefer to have the comments in the PO files, because some people could not have an Internet conection when translating. And please, if you add comments, put verbose and clear comments. The commented code is better for everybody.
